‘Sully’ – Polar Bear Coloured Pencil Drawing

This atmospheric drawing of the iconic Artic white bear is drawn with a limited palette of just seven pencils – all with a blue hue. This was such a fun drawing to do with these colours. I chose to draw it on PaintOn ‘denim’ which is a muted blue art paper that provides an unobtrusive background for the bear.

My husband took great interest in this drawing, and named him ‘Sully’..!

Sully was started as part of a live draw with Bonny Snowdon – a group of artists from around the world all coming together to draw. We drew the head as a group, and then many of us continued to work solo to finish the bear, using a lovely reference photo from Pexels.

There will be no prints made of Sully, but he is available in my range of greetings cards.
