Splendour

A stunning bay arab packed with details and bold colour.

The reference photo is from the amazing Karen Brommelswick, and it was based on a tricky tutorial from the Bonny Snowdon Academy. I loved it the second I put pencil to paper (or rather, drafting film) and continue to love it now it’s on my wall! It’s one of the most detailed and challenging drawings I have ever attempted, but every day I just couldn’t wait to get back to it… Those colours! That shine! Anyone who knows me, also knows that arabs are my heart horses… This was a whole big (little – 6″ square) love piece.
