Moonlight

Drawn for World Art Day in 2023, this was my first attempt at a white on black style.

I have always wanted to do a ‘white on black’ drawing. Two things put me off – drawing on black is a different and somewhat scary prospect. And I couldn’t find a reference photo that ‘spoke’ to me enough to do it. Well I found That Photo. The horse is April Moon, I believe RIP.

My original “Moonlight” is approx 5×5”, and was created using a single Pablo white pencil, on Fabriano Black Black.
